Pay close attention to how GOP Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is working 'round the clock to prepare his state for Hurricane Gustav. As the nutroots wish ill on conservatives and pray to God for our demise, Gov. Jindal is on the ball, working feverishly to ensure the safety and comfort of his residents. No Blanco-like whining or finger-pointing. Action, not talk.

And the success of the evacuation pays testimony to the fact.

So this is news? There was no way Bush was going to allow a Katrina repeat.
More so, the fact Bush, Cheney and half the cabinet is sitting down there over-seeing the operation tells me that they do not have so much faith in Jindal's ability to manage the situation.

Congratulations uncleandy,
All it took was one hour into the comments to say that what is good is a bad thing.
The biggest mistake President Bush made during Katrina was not sending the national guard down in the beginning rather than respecting the wishes of the then incompetent, corrupt governor.

And if Bush/Cheney didn't go, the libs would say "see, they still don't care about the people of Louisiana. Typically lib spin.
Referring to Senator Obama statement "I hope lessons of Katrina were learned". Well, Senator Obama. They have! The people of Louisiana saw fit not to re-elect another inept Democrat governor after Blanco cowardly retreated from re-election.
Quote from Senator Biden, "It looks like they're incredibly well prepared, much better than they had before," Biden said.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

I am not going to fault George Bush for camping out in the Gulf region during Gustav, more so, i am very happy he is there. I am certain that everyone was reassuring him that everything was being taken care of but I think if your are the president, you probably hear that all the time. However, this time he was making sure it was taken care of instead of leaving it in the hands of people like Michael Brown.
